9th International Social Work Days

On behalf of the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt, we are happy to invite you to our 9th annual International Social Work Days (ISWD) Conference 2023. With the global pandemic situation easing out, we are glad to announce that this year we will meet in Erfurt in person to connect with all of you, old and new friends and colleagues, from 8 to 10 June 2023.  

Inspired by the motto of the International Federation of Social Workers – “Respecting Diversity through Joint Social Action” – the theme of our 2023 conference promotes social work best practices and engagement in international collaboration to strive for social justice, human rights, and inclusive, sustainable social development. We take forward our learning of 30-plus years of international cooperation and partnership that has contributed to the global understanding of social work practices. We will address methodological as well as epistemological concerns in teaching, learning, and practicing social work in increasingly diversified fields, and will exchange our ideas and experiences about a range of themes that have critical relevance to the theory and praxis of international social work.
