9th International Social Work Days
The 9th International Social Work Day (ISWD) 2023, an annual event that highlights the vital role of social work in promoting social justice and human rights, kicked off today with an unprecedented participation of 70 delegates from 8 different countries.
We at the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences, University of Applied Sciences Erfurt are proud to host students, social work professionals, educators, and researchers from around the world to share insights, best practices, and innovative approaches in tackling social issues. The diverse range of countries represented includes participants from Austria, Bosnia, Germany, India, Israel, Poland, Slovenia, and Ukraine. The 70 participants will engage in a series of workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions designed to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences.
The ISWD works to advocate for the need for global dialogue in protecting and promoting social justice, human rights, and the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. It serves as a platform for recognizing the invaluable contributions of social workers, who tirelessly work to uplift vulnerable populations and advocate for social justice, and it highlights the need for continued support, resources, and recognition for the profession.
We are looking forward to the exciting two days.
