STEM

In 2006, the Mathematics and Science Centre was founded as a cross-faculty institution for teaching mathematics and physics at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt. In 2022, it joined forces with the central chemistry laboratory to form the STEM department (in German "MINT") in the Centre of Fundamental Studies. The STEM staff teach modules in various degree programs and offer prep courses every year to help students get ready for their studies. They are also in charge of the schools laboratory at FH Erfurt, the physics lab and the central chemistry lab.

Labs in the Centre for Fundamental Studies

The labs at our central facility provide practical teaching opportunities at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt and act as an interface with schools and partners in industry.

In terms of teaching foundation subjects, we have all the necessary capacities to combine theoretical knowledge transfer with practical application. In practical lab and technology courses, our students are familiarized with the methods of experimental work.

At the same time, we also carry out experimental research and tests commissioned by private business.

We look forward to showing you our labs and supporting you in your research and learning!
