Master's in Renewable Energy Management
4-semester Master's program
You will acquire the following interdisciplinary skills in the field of renewable energies:
- the technical operation of renewable energy systems,
- the necessary management and communication skills to implement these systems,
- the legal competence to recognize the limitations of planning,
- sound skills in the creation and critical evaluation of potential analyses of primary energy resources.
You will also gain insights into the strategic planning involved in incorporating renewable energies into the environment.
This program is aimed at Bachelor’s graduates from the following disciplines:

- Environmental/Resource Management
- Agriculture, Forestry
- Urban and Spatial Planning, Landscape Architecture

Modules in the Master's program Renewable Energy Management
The entry requirements for the Master's in Renewable Energy Management are set out in the program regulations:
- degree from a university or college of cooperative education
- above-average examination results (equivalent to the German grade 2 or above)
- if the final grade was “befriedigend” (“satisfactory” - German grade 3), at least two years of professional experience

The range of subjects covered means that graduates can work in a wide variety of fields. Qualified all-rounders are needed in such areas as:
- industrial companies, e.g. plant manufacturers, plant operators, project developers, consulting firms
- energy supply companies and energy traders

- politics, political parties and associations
- “green careers” in agriculture, forestry and horticulture
- freelance work, e.g. as planners, project developers, facilitators
