Thuringian SINUS conference at Fachhochschule Erfurt

For the third time, FH Erfurt co-organized the Thuringian SINUS conference, which took place on our premises from 18 to 19 September 2024 in cooperation with ThILLM, STIFT and the Centre of Fundamental Studies at FH Erfurt. The conference was aimed at teachers of STEM subjects in all types of school. After the keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Paul (University of Bayreuth) on "Education for sustainable development using digital learning games", there was a variety of activity-based workshops on science teaching. Die FH Erfurt was represented by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Oksana Arnold with a teaching concept for a media project week, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Holger Schmidt with practice-oriented competitions for schools, Jana Klingner with the Schools Lab and Katharina Key on the use of artificial intelligence in teaching. Through this cooperation, we aim to foster closer ties between schools and universities in Thuringia, as well as promoting the STEM subjects.
