Master's in Applied Computer Science

The Master's program in Applied Computer Science leads to the degree Master of Science (M. Sc.) after 3 semesters of study. The language of instruction in the courses is a mixture of German and English, although no course is taught exclusively in English.

Program Objective

The practice-oriented Master's program in Applied Computer Science builds consecutively on the 7-semester Bachelor's program of the same name and leads to a second professional qualification.

The aim of this practice-oriented degree course is, on the one hand, to expand the core knowledge acquired in the Bachelor's program (algorithms, mathematics, technologies, programming) and to further deepen this field of application in a specialist subject area. On the other hand, it is also designed to teach the ability to analyze complex requirements in a structured manner, propose suitable approaches to solutions, plan their implementation and coordinate them using modern management methods. In order to achieve this, interdisciplinary thinking, an academic approach and conceptual work are the key prerequisites.
This enables our graduates to take on leading roles in companies with regard to the planning and implementation of challenging, multidisciplinary projects.
