Bachelor's in Applied Computer Science
The Bachelor’s degree program in Applied Computer Science leads to a first professional qualification - the Bachelor or Science (B.Sc.) after 7 semesters of study
The language of instruction is German.
The University of Applied Sciences Erfurt has a family atmosphere: small classes, direct contact to the professors, lab engineers and support staff. All lectures are accompanied by practical sessions and seminars in well-equipped labs so that the students can look into the subject matter in more depth. Projects in small teams enable the students to put the knowledge they have acquired into practice, Early opportunities to meet useful contacts in the industry and business world make it easier for our students to find their way into the world of work.
Program Objective
To achieve this, students are given practice-oriented training in the knowledge and skills required in key areas of computer science. In addition to skills in technology, algorithms and programming, this also includes methodological skills for analysis, design and implementation.
From the 3rd semester onwards, students develop their theoretical and practical knowledge by choosing one of three fields of interest: Computer Science in Engineering, Media Computing or Business Information Technology.
This program, which combines general computer science knowledge with specific expertise, gives our graduates the best prospects for taking on important development tasks in companies and public institutions in their field of interest.
