Important
The photography lab is divided into four working areas, all of which can be used by staff, professors and students subject to prior arrangement. Before using the equipment, it is mandatory for you to take part in an instruction session!
For this purpose, we offer electives in the following subjects:
Laboratory and photographic equipment, architectural photography and experimental photographic techniques
Facilities
Model photography (analogue and digital)
The following equipment is available:
- shooting table with various backgrounds for photographing architectural models
- studio flash lamps and halogen lamps for analogue and digital photography
- analogue studio cameras with the corresponding lenses and accessories in 35mm, medium and large format
- high resolution digital 35mm camera, digital scan back for medium and large formats
- endoscope for taking photos of models from a pedestrian's perspective or looking into the interiors of architectural models
- a laptop for transferring the digital image data to the server or the respective workstations
Architectural photography
Students, staff and professors have four analogue and four digital cameras at their disposal. The analogue single-lens reflex cameras are equipped with special lenses for architectural photography.
The department's photographer also has access to analogue medium-format and large-format equipment for architectural photography.
Reproduction
A repro system is available to staff and professors for the reproduction of plans, illustrations from journals and books. It can be used to make digital or analogue reproductions.
A slide duplicator allows you to make analogue or digital copies of 35mm or medium format slides.
Photography lab
There are five student workstations for black-and-white enlargement that are regularly used in the elective module Architectural Photography. Photographers have two enlargers for different negative formats and a developing machine at their disposal for the production of prints.
Manual or machine film development can also be carried out in the photo workshop.
