Who are we?

The works council at FH Erfurt consists of 9 people. 

What do we do?

Our work is underpinned by the Thuringian Staff Representation Act. We advocate for all employees of the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt with the exception of professors, guest lecturers and adjunct instructors, as per the law.

Our reponsibilities include:

• initiating measures which will benefit the organization and its employees
• ensuring that the laws, regulations, collective agreements, internal staff agreements and administrative orders that apply to employees are applied and enforced
• listening to suggestions and complaints from employees and working with those responsible to resolve or rectify them
• supporting the integration and professional development of severely disabled people and others in need of additional safeguards
• promoting the enforcement of effective gender equality in accordance with the Thuringian Equal Opportunities Act
• working closely with the youth and trainee representative to advocate for the interests of the employees mentioned in § 57
• seeking to ensure that data protection is maintained for all employees
• promoting a healthy work-life balance
