Study cannabis in the Bachelor's program "Horticultural Plant Production"

Are you interested in cannabis and want to learn more about this unique and diverse plant?

Then you've come to the right place: we now offer courses on cannabis!

In the Bachelor's degree program "Horticultural Plant Production", we now have a series of modules in which you can take an in-depth look at hemp - from its breeding and propagation to cultivation in various systems and marketing.

Our study plan (cannabis-related courses are optional): Bachelor's Cannabis Modules

This makes us one of the few universities in Germany to offer academic studies on cannabis.

The focus of our degree program is on practical training. In particular, you will familiarize yourself with the particularities of professional cannabis production by carrying out your own experiments in the field and in the greenhouse.

Disclaimer: For legal reasons, we shall be concentrating entirely on THC-free cannabis (EU-certified industrial hemp, THC < 0.2 %). The biology and cultivation systems are identical for most varieties and apply to all uses.
