Outdoor Trial Site

The 3.5 ha outdoor trial site is located directly at our campus and is divided into demonstration, trial and compensation areas. The demonstration sites are mainly dedicated to medicinal and aromatic plants, avenue trees and hedgerows, ground cover assortments, conservation-worthy and historic apple cultivars, as well as other issues that vary from year to year.

The trial areas are used for scientific research in the areas of plant nutrition, vegetable (organic) and fruit farming (strawberry frigos, apple rootstock trials).

All open spaces can be supplied with well water or water from the cistern.
